WHAT IS APO?
APO Is Advanced Parimutuel Option, APO Platform allows participants to trade unsecured instruments (options) and without risk of nonpayment, unlike centralized exchange. Platform automatically creates smart contracts for auctions, which lasts until the expiration date, and ends after making payments to participants. The platform operates without the seller of the option. APO does not act as the auction organizer, but performs the development, maintenance and upgrading of the source code.
About Advanced Parimutuel Options
The middle part of the APO platform is a smart contract on the Ethereum network. The main functions assigned to it are:
- Guarantee protection for participants
- Conducting auctions
- Acceptance and storage of premiums to expiration
- Save the list of option owners
- Execution of payment on expiry date
- Filling out commissions for operations
APO Finance's role is to develop and maintain platforms, ongoing maintenance, and modernization. It has no role to play in securing the funds, which distinguishes this platform from a centralized exchange in which the collapse of the exchange causes a default for the participants.
Trading on platforms has the following differences from centralized exchanges:
- No difference between bid and demand, due to the fact that there is no seller.
- There is no risk of a stock market collision, since public pools are on the Ethereum network and at the time of auction payment is calculated in all situations.
- New option purchases can only be made during the auction.
In APO, no margin is needed - an ideal instrument for miners and investors to keep up with falling markets.
The trading process is divided into two stages - auction and expiration. Platforms do not participate in trade as an organizer, but do not charge commissions to facilitate trade, some of which will be distributed among token holders.
